We’ve made some ambitious commitments to protect one of our most important resources; forests.

By the end of 2020, any ALDI product containing wood or paper material will need to be certified sustainable or made of 100% recycled material. By the same time, all core range packaging containing wood or paper material will need to be certified sustainable or made of at least 70% recycled material. And yes, we mean everything, from the small outer packaging to our big cardboard boxes.

We can already say with CONFIDENCE^® that all of our own label toilet paper, tissue, kitchen towels and baby products are already made from recycled material, or from well-managed forests certified by the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) or Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC). As internationally recognised organisations for responsible forest management, if you spot their labels on our packs you can rest easy knowing that you too are supporting responsible forestry.
